'Growing' - 48" x 60"

Delicate, elegant, simple, 

These flowers have inspired several of my paintings, 

Next to my desk a good number of them grow abundantly, with ease, with lightness.

I observe how subtly they do it, how graceful they expand. 

They make me rethink the idea that growth must always be painful or heavy.  

What if growing, like the anthuriums does, 
can be soft, progressive, kind.
